Thanks so much we got our first two Barred Rocks the day after Thanksgiving 2011. Hatched our first two eggs from them a little less than a month ago. We built everything with very little knowledge. Our first coop was small with a very small attached pen, more of a tractor coop. Soon enough our flock of 2 became 3, one from our neighbor's flock, 3 became 6, 6 became 10. So we decided we needed to build a permanent pen and a large coop "The Love Shack" for the bigger chickens and the "Baby Condo" for the chicks, and of course they have free range of the yard all day.
I know what you mean! I just expanded the run 4 ft longer x 5 feet taller. Presently, eggs are in the incubator, juveniles in a portable
pen, and the adults in the coop-I've got to stop! Can't wait to see what our garden produces this season- It's all fun!)
