12. I failed to get pictures of the bottom and cradle as I was building this but it's really pretty simple. I just notched out 1¾" for the bottom of fill valve and screwed the cradle to the other end. It is held in place with plumbing strap. You can get a fitting at HD or Lowes to adapt the  toilet supply line to an outside spigot. Hook it up to a water supply.  How often you'll have to clean it depends on the number of chickens using it.
