They're both Ross broilers. I saved slim from being culled for being a runt a few days after my husband, Ross died suddenly and unexpectedly. I thought he'd be good company and he was. I saved the other little fella from the same fate. I felt slim needed a bit of a break. The little fella never left him alone, so I saved another one, a little girl this time. Figured they'd all keep each other company when I was at work. I came home to find both the littleys treating slim as their very own adventure playground! Slim was OK with it though but if they decided to help themselves to his food they got given a very stern look and that was enough to change their minds!
Awwwww so sweet! I'm sorry for your loss- at least he didn't turn into soup! Thank you for saving these babies! I've switched to vegetarian last year , I couldn't stand eating meat anymore.
