BSL laid this soft shelled egg after she had been laying for a week. I must have fed her too much salty foods, plus the heat didn't help. This soft shell happened. But the following day after getting her diet right, and it was hotter the next day she still laid a hard shelled. It really had to do with diet.
left to right, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th egg. My hen has laid every day. Between the first egg to the second egg there was a 3 day lapse, but since then it's been every day.
