Roof shingled, windows in. T1-11 used for siding. Another week of either pouring rain or hot humid blaring sun! Framing complete...a good feeling. Now onto the patio, priming and painting, fencing.....The roof contains a vented skylight I acquired from Amazon for around $30. Low expectations but I kept seeing references to ventilation. If the plastic unit fails I can always box out the roof hole in plexiglass. The natural light works well over the roosts. Even in New England humidity and an outdoor temp of 95 degrees, coop inside is tolerable.

The nesting box idea came from reviewing many designers and a random image of a storage cabinet. The clean out door idea came from reviewing horse stables and through the exercise of adding a sand floor after the coop framing was up.

Roof overhang covering nesting box.
Framing 2x4. Room for 3 windows, 2 doors, pop door, nesting box and vented sky light.
Removed existing housing with collapsed roof. 2x4x8 pavers set on side for foundation, pressure treated lumber on botton. Unable to salvage the old structure...but the old barn wood will be recycled into many new projects.
