A 20" length of furring strip is used to attach the ends of the hardware cloth to the base. I used 1 3/4" deck screws.

Hardware cloth is overlapped by one square then ziptied to the conduit. I put several close together at the base and space them out further towards the top. If you had a heavy predator load, i would put many zipties on.

Here is the hoop house with the ends on. The ends are 1/2 plywood. I screwed the whole sheet to the base once the hoops were on, traced the arc, then took the sheet off and cut it with a jig saw. I eyeballed the door with a circular saw.
