This is the completed coop and run after expansion. The run is a copy of one I found here, I think it's Coop de Ville. I saw it, loved it and gave our builder a photo. They copied it exactly and I love it ! The barn doors on the coop are my favorite. Now our girls are safe and snug on cold nights. All we need to do is hang stockings for Santa.

Upstairs roost. This was not in the original coop, but we added it as soon as the girls got big enough. The roosts that came with the kit were too skinny. I like them to be able to cover up their toes in the winter time to keep them warm. A wider roost just seems like it would be more comfortable.

New downstairs roost. This was a coop from the tractor supply and the area that we had enclosed would have originally been the "run" if you just used it as was straight out of the box and assembled. We have always had the coop on a raised cedar platform in a large covered run. There was no way 4 hens would have enough room in that original coop.
