Being a birder, I was immediately drawn to your photos that showed up in New Media. This looks like an immature Cooper's Hawk, a hawk in the genus Accipiter, so it is not a falcon. They are also known as chicken hawks, so if you are worried about it going after your poultry, I guess you should be, although I've never had a problem with them attacking my chickens. They usually go after small birds like songbirds and they like to wait near birdfeeders to catch an easy meal.
