These are the first pictures taken of my coop after I picked up my five Welsummer hens on Friday, August, 1st 2014. The first egg was laid on Saturday and then I picked up one on Sunday morning.
This is a new experience for me but it has been very enjoyable so far.
My first experience with a chicken coop and chickens has been fun so far. We picked up our hens on Friday, 01 2014 and the man I purchased them from said they would probably not lay for two weeks because of the stress of the move. Well, I got one egg Saturday and one Sunday morning! My wife, grandson and I added those two eggs to some store-bought eggs and had a great breakfast! We are all very excited and my six year old grandson went out and thanked the chickens for laying us some eggs!
