Looks to me like someone has "helped" the chick hatch. Bad. Chicks are perfectly capable of hatching on their own. The hen never helps the chicks hatch,. Helping them almost always means loss of blood, a weak chick, or death. If a chick cannot hatch on its own it is usually not a good chick. If malpositioned in the egg, it might be worth saving, but you have to be very careful not to do it too soon. Certainly not before 24 hours have passed after pipping.
