I had just under 80 chickens at one time and wanted to make sure the flock had plenty of fresh water to drink without using the various galvanized drinkers I had around the pen. I decided to construct an automatic drinker using items I already had laying around the property. I used an old plastic igloo ice chest, an old toilet tank float valve, 2" pvc pipe, 2"plugs and an adapter to connect then toilet valve to a garden hose. It currently supplies fresh water to 3 separate areas flawlessly and reliably. The chickens took to it quickly with no problems.
