This eagle wanted my ducklings when they were little. There was a pair and they came daily, trying to get by me in a wide variety of ways. I spent the summer watching the sky and waving a broom to scare them away. I won. They got no ducklings, and the ducklings grew up.

Ducklings can drown! This duckling got lower and lower and lower as I carefully supervised him over about thirty minutes. The water was warm and he wasn't worried - he was paddling slowly and calmly. I was worried.... so shortly after this picture I took him out. The water was getting close to his nostrils.
