Our Chicken Coop

These are the exterior and interior photos of our chicken coop with two runs. The coop is a Conly coop purchased online as a kit. The large run was purchased at Tractor supply at a deep discount due to end of season sale. I modified the coop & run to allow for a small access door for the chickens to have access to the large run. In addition, I built a 2x6 bottom frame and used Thompson Water Seal to waterproof it. That was raised up on bricks so that the large run would not rot if placed on the ground. I put hardware cloth all around the base of the coop and runs that extended out 18". the mesh was nailed down using 10" heavy duty steel tent stakes. I also added a second roof over the large run as only one half had a roof and the other had hardware cloth/wire. I decided to do that to add more protection for the chickens from the elements. I also added the tarps on the west side to block the prevailing winds that come across our farm fields.
