Got this crate from work. Added piano hinge to middle and back of lid to open half or all the way. Drilled hole for heat lamp cord, and installed a 8x10 plexiglass window and 30x12 1/2" hardware cloth vent in the top. Future plans are for another vent in the sides/front with screens to cover those so it stays warmer when they first hatch. This is my first flock and first brooder!
