DH did a great job on this coop, especially since he says he's never framed anything before. I wanted mine to be on the ground so that I could step into it and so my boys could easily reach the nest boxes to get eggs. We don't have raccoons around here, and our yard is fenced, so we usually don't have trouble with dogs, but we lock them up at night anyway just to be on the safe side.
No, actually, those are Lexan windows, I still need to add the pic where the ventilation holes are, they're on the very top under the eave of the roof in the front and the back...
