Finally starting to build the run! As you can see the season has changed. The chickens were almost 2 months old and we were very ready to move them out of the house! The run is made from 2"x4" pressure treated lumber.

Coop windows are completed, trim is added, and the nest box is finished. The nest box is 3' x 1' and has a hinged roof.

Another day of work and the roof is on. This is pretty much traditional roofing technique, plywood over a 2"x3" lumber frame, then a layer of tarpaper, then asphalt shingles.
End of day one of building. The coop sits of 4"x4" posts and has a linoleum floor. The framing is 2"x3" lumber.
These are the only "plans" I drew for the coop. Designed to be cut easily from 4x8 sheets of plywood. The angled sides slope from 4-1/2' tall to 3-1/2'.
