avram (abraham, named after the guy in the Bible and also his original owner, an old kurdish man, who has been a goatherd from 7 years old in kurdistan and continued in israel, w/o high education, but grows all his own fruits, vegetables, has chickens, goats, sheep, and all kinds of other animals... ) this buck goat was the second (buck) love of my life. when we took the petting zoo apart, we returned him to his farm to father many more small avrams, for meat and milk. he wouldnt let anyone handle him but me.
dok mai, eating her treats... she has a full udder because we used her often to demonstrate milking and the build of an udder. we called her dok mai because one horn was curled up on her forehead like a rose.
avram again. he's supposedly boer, but i think that he has some anglonubian in him, he was depolled, so all his babies come out normal, and with horns. with horns, he would have been dangerous to handle in the area we have. (he arrived depolled. we do it at a young age.)
dok mai (flower, in thai), my queen nanny goat, an anglo nubian in winter coat; gentle, friendly, very very vocal, a great petting zoo goat, and a great mother of many twins. she succumbed to a horrible udder disease, one horrible february, and i raised her babies in my house, one , krem (cream) later moved to the jerusalem zoo to be a large goat among pygmy and dwarf goats. krem still recognized me three years later, when i went to visit.
