Current progress. Roof is on, no leaks. Yayy!!! Like I said before, I am no carpenter. Just the basic knowledge of how things work. Cut the 8' long roost in half, installed two 4' roost over top of poop boards. Booth roosts are on hinges and lift up and secured to rafters. Poop boards are on hinges as well. In theory when I clean the coop out in its entirety everything should for the most part be out of the way.
Roof blew off back in mid December. Had to relocate the chicks and rabbits to the barn. Had been to cold to do anything. All my hard work getting ruined in the bad weather. Very depressing. Putting on the new roof now. First time for everything. Doing best I can.

Chicks roosting at night time.
In this coop I'm trying out mixing rabbits with chickens. Basically what I have tried and with a degree of luck I say is a time sharing system. Both rabbits come out at night while chicks are roosting up above. In the morning rabbits go back inside the hutch and the chickens are free to run about. Rabbits are messy, they don't use dropping boards, about the only thing I do not care for so far.
Started putting up the run but got the flu. Sick for over two weeks. Early December now, super cold now. Run will have to wait.... Run is supposed to be if I can remember correctly something like 20x30 I think. Whatever it is is its big enough to house up to 24 chicks comfortably.
