Black Bart my Black Marans when he was a cockeral ( he has a double serration on his comb but no sprigs. So far none of his pure black offspring have a double serration). Solid Black Marans are extremely hard to get from breeding blues no matter what the BBS genetics say! It took me years to get some pure blacks and I am just loving them! He is a sweet boy and has grown up to be really huge now that he is over a year old. He has nice shank feathering and a well set tail. More pics to come....
