Our young chickens the "Easter Eggers" are finally starting to lay. I got them in the first week of June and thought they would be laying by October.

Isn’t it the most exciting day when the first blue egg is laid. I kept Henrietta’s very first egg and mounted in a lucite box sitting on some hay, with her photo underneath.
I should post a picture of the box. I screamed too, called my Mom right away to come look. She didn't think Henrietta was old enough to lay an egg yet.
