We put hinges on the top of the nesting boxes just in case I need to lift it for cleaning or to get out a chicken who is having an attitude.

I had an old (antique) screen door that needed some repair and a new paint job to work, but it is wonderful and looks great! That door has about 10 different colors under the black - I ended up spray painting it and it looks great!
