@WitchyCatlady It is in my walk out bay window in my living room. It gets supplemental light from an 8' fluorescent light fixture with two daylight bulbs for 13 hours a day. Outside it is 13°F and there is a measurable 10 1/2" of snow.
@NewBoots Thank you. And it is delicious. I grow these in the garden every year. They are an excellent short season, cool weather pepper. I don't believe they would do well in a hot climate.
@R2elk We have a short growing season here as well. Even shorter than normal this year. I've been thinking about growing some herbs indoors. What are daylight bulbs? Are they LED?
@WitchyCatlady Daylight bulbs are ones that emit a more complete spectrum of light than other bulbs. For years most daylight bulbs that were sold were rated at 4200K - 4500K. With the new advances, they are getting an even higher range now. The ones in my light fixture are rated at 6500K. The higher the K number, the more complete the spectrum of light is.
You can find daylight bulbs available in both LED and fluorescent bulbs. Herbs should grow well indoors.
