I built my first brooder with a dog crate, hardware cloth, zip ties, and a window screen to cover the front gate. Unfortunately, I did not know what I was doing. I wanted to use the heating pad, but opted for the light.
I'm gong to try a Dog Kennel this time. The extra wire is a good idea. Figured I'd use cardboard on sides prone to drafts. Gotta see if i have leftover Hardware Cloth for the door and a couple sides. I want to test out a large heat pad i have before
