About 5 days ago my 6 1/2 month old Jersey giant hen, Penelope, was limping so I brought her in and then it got so she would just lay on her side. She closes her eyes and lifts her head up and down and opens her mouth repeatedly. I put her outside on the grass and she will peck at it, but she won’t eat her feed, only corn, grapes, and hulled sunflower seeds. I give her an egg and she picks at that. The vet said to maybe try doxycycline so I’m giving her some of that with her grapes. I was giving her a vitamin supplement I got from tractor supply but she’s so weak and lethargic, I am at my wits end. The other Chickens ducks and geese are all fine. I really thought she just dislocated her leg getting out of her coop, but she just lays on her side. Has anybody else experienced this? They explain how to reset her leg if it’s dislocated, but nobody shows how to do it. I just want her to get better

With or without a video, you really should post in our Emergency forum, they can help you without it. Click here to start a thread. The easiest way to add a video is to upload it to YouTube and "share" it in the post. Best wishes with her!
