Most of these pictures were taken when the birds were young, less than 6 months. I love the variety of color in this breed, their inquisitive personalities, hardiness and beautiful cream colored large eggs.
Most of my birds were purchased directly from Greenfire but those that weren't were purchased from breeders that I was confident maintained purity and quality in their flock. I cull my breeders for lack of hardiness, split wing, comb sprigs, deformed combs, small size, flighty temperament and small eggs and work to maintain as genetically diverse a flock as I can to avoid inbreeding. I love the robust deep, wide body type and select for this in my breeding stock . I feel I have one of the highest quality flocks around for this breed.
I do offer hatching eggs, chicks and sometimes started or adult birds for sale. Hatching eggs can be mailed or local pickup arranged. I hope you enjoy my photos!
