Coop floor was framed in and raised 18" on the coop side. Building before had a dirt floor. A door was installed leading into the storage side of coop. Ventilation added on both ends of coop and to the front. Vents holes on front can be shut if needed. Hardware cloth apron added around the entire coop. Will be covered with dirt and rocks.
Storage area of coop. Base cabinet turned into a brooder for baby chicks. Has a 3" PVC tube for extra feed storage and a hose hook up to the main waterer that goes down to two poultry nipples. Currently brooding 10 bantams.
Back of coop showing nesting boxes. Right now my hen prefers to lay eggs around the farm. 55 gallon drum hooked to PVC to supply water. Will be hooked up for rain water collection after roof is replaced and put on the correct way.
Chicken door and ramp. PVC waterer with poultry nipples for outside in the future run. Windows prop open, covered with hardware cloth. Some sand is put down already that I got for free off of Craigslist. Battery operated motion sensored light to help scare of potential predators.

This is the coop prior to construction. My dad had built it 22 years prior and had used it for storage, horses and last a dog pen. Basic 8'x16" building, with a dirt floor. The metal on the roof going sideways, not sure why. The chain link fencing was falling down and removed. Was full of weeds when I bought the place.
Cleaned the building out. At this point still using it to store scrap wood and misc. other items.
