Oh my, long story short I ordered 16 from a hatchery. Perfect. However I panicked due to the covid and brought them home sooner than expected and they didn’t have any ameracaunas... so my lil trip to tractor supply, long and behold ameracaunas! Minimum 6.
22 chicks later, they were all growing except my iso brown... well my iso brown wasn’t an iso brown it was some bantam straight run after some research, they had ameracaunas, iso browns, and buff Orpington all in the same bin.
when I inquired the lady was rude and immediately cut me off due to covid no returns. I explained I specifically had paid more for hens only and that it was the employees fault not mine... even provided pictures taken at the store so that we could look up the names accordingly and I knew what I got. I ended up calling a different tractor supply and the guy kindly swapped out my iso for another buff.
Two things I can tell you for certain, please buy from a hatchery because my experience with the people selling you chickens have no idea what a NPIP cert even is and they don’t know what’s the difference. Some may but majority no.
Second, you most definately do not have an ameracaunas with a stripe. It should be black solid or black splash... you were sold something else like I was and I do hope it wasn’t tractor supply sadly
