Here's the wire loop that I pull and attach to the hook to open the pop door in the morning and then in the evening I unhook it and slowly lower it once the girls are all tucked in bed.

Eyelet on outside of coop. Keeps the wire from messin up the wood.
This pulley actually doesn't work as intended but it keeps the wire in place and everything works so I'm happy. My chickens don't even know so mums the word!
