I just cut a couple saplings for roosts and screwed them up to the studs across the inside, and added a walkway built from leftover material for access.
Right now I just prop the lid of the laying boxes up with a stick, but I'm going to add an eye bolt, string, and hook for a pull and latch.
The outside run has an access door so I can change their water. I'm in the process of building an automatic waterer.

This hen house was very cost efficient. A family nearby was going to tear down and get rid of nice looking porch. It was about 10x8. I hauled it to the house for free. I took the 2x6 floor joists and split them for the stud walls and rafters. The 1xs from the porch served for most of the siding. The rest of the siding was gathered from a friend who'd salvaged lots of 1xs from a remodeling job of an older house. I already had all the netting, and I did some tree work for a guy who's family is in the metal building business to get the aluminum roofing. I spent about $40 on exterior wood screws, $20 on 2x4's for the door and run, and 1xs to do runners for the roof and trim (which still isn't finished), and about $12 on hinges and latches for the door and exterior egg boxes. Now all we have to do is finish the trim and slap on some paint. I estimate when finished it will have cost around $150, and a little labor; but, if you're anything like me, the labor is the funnest part, aside from letting the birds enjoy their new home!

This is the rooster coop. The ladder goes up into the coop, which I can also close off and use as a brooder. I raised all these from a few days old in there!
