I made the floor out of tables used at an auction place. The roof is covered with a large heavy plastic sheeting from an old billboard sign. I have since cleaned out underneath the coop and put wire around the bottom and added 2 more nest boxes. Very shady and cool in the hot summer. More ventilation is used then, too.
This is my run and coop put together. I have covered the entire top of the run with a heavy tarp to block sun and rain, but still allow for the breeze. The run is 12x20 feet and the coop is 6x8 feet.
How it looks with the under coop area included in the run. I did put 4 2x4's up inside (in an X shape) to protect against blowing winds. The pvc pipe is attached to the coop and the landscape timber frame with pipe strap.

With the doors down, cleaning the poop board is super easy! A 5 gallon bucket fits under the edge and just scrape off the poop with a hoe or trowel. A wheelbarrow will go under the edge of the drop down doors for easy removal of the shavings.
Two drop down doors on the back make cleaning a breeze.
