I often get jumbo double yolk eggs that always amaze me, but when I saw this one I could not believe my eyes. It was also a double yolk.
They are hens now and doing fine.
Garage dustbox with garden soil, peat moss, DE, sand and poultry dust. I brought the girls in the garage when we had a hurricane and left them inside all winter. Easy to maintain but a dusty mess to clean up in spring. They are outside again! They made a beeline for this dust box immediately.
Right to left: large egg, jumbo double yolk, monster egg. I think this egg was Eleanor's as she is the one that often lays the jumbo double yolks and she didn't lay an egg two days ago and then this egg. It took two days to produce this egg. Luckily the egg was elongated and only slighly wider than the regular jumbo, for my girl's sake!
