Gulliver grew and grew, but still enjoyed being a lap goose.
Gracie rockin' her half-down, half-feathers look.
Gulliver shows off his new wing quills. We guessed (correctly) right away that we had a male and female. Gulliver's head was blockier and more masculine looking, while Gracie was a bit smaller overall and had a more delicate, feminine-looking head.
It was interesting to observe their strong flock mentality. Our chickens have no problem striking out on their own, but the ducks and geese always stick together.
Like all adolescents, they hit an amusing gangly phase.
If we didn't have their pool out, we made sure the fount was full of cool water. It was a brutally hot summer and they drank a lot.
They were getting bigger every day, so it was time for a bigger pool!
