Mamma Fluffy Butt, our Golden Laced Wyandotte who went broody a few weeks ago, you can only see a few of the bravest chicks, these are actually the one's she hatched herself, there were 5 but the other 2 got away from her and sadly were stomped by my goat, (in her defense she didn't know what they were!!) The other 7 still hiding under her fluff I bought from a hatchery and she welcomed them under her wings when her own were already 4 days old! Amazing mamma!!! She hatched eggs from my entire flock rather than just her own, so these 3 babies all look different, but Im hoping that being raised by her they will develop her laid back personality, although she has been protective of the chicks.
Almost all of them out and about, after they figured out my camera wasn't scary after all! You can still spot her 3, along with the 7 smaller (and younger) chicks I got from the hatchery. Those lil 7 are somthing I haven't had before, and are fairly new kind of Wyandotte in my understanding. Blue Laced Red Wyandottes!!
Yes, there are 10 under and around her in this picture, believe it or not! She hides them so well for a first time mamma! She's probably wondering what Im doing in her space without any food in hand. lol.

Just another one of her with only a couple chicks peeping out. There really are 10 under there!! I also wonder what her line was crossed with at some point, since I thought all Wyandottes had rose combs!
With her first batch of chicks she hatched. We also gave her some chicks from the hatchery to raise and she adopted them 4 days after her own hatched out! There are 10 chicks hiding under her fluff!
