My 3 week old Pekin ducks are getting bigger every week. They love to follow me around like little puppies and they apparently taught my dog that cattail roots are delicious. He is now pulling them out of my pond for a snacky treat too! :)

My dog, Rusty, on patrol. My daughter brought over her border collie puppy and I had to put my 3 week range loving chicks in their coop. The puppy was excited and scaring my chicks. My dog immediately went into action and discouraged the puppy to stay away from the coop! I was so happy. He just growled with authority and made sure the pup stayed away.
My Hubby built the a frame duck coop and since I had left over paint I began complimenting the TSC purchased hen coop as well. Pavers seem to be working well so far to keep out any curious predators too.
