My beautiful lap hen cocoa, a beautiful spirit that is missed daily. Though she was tiny she was full of spirit and life, and she ruled the roost! As faithful to me as any cat or dog. Sadly she passed away from heat stroke complications. Had she survived the complications i was planning to retire her to being an indoor chicken, once they have a heat stroke they can lose the ability to regulate body heat in the winter.

My flock liked the deep bedding of clean dry maple leaves i used in their coop in 2012 winter :) They nested off and on all afternoon in it :)

"maurice", my friendly d'uccle roo with his sister "sissy" in the background. Both grew up to be sweet and come to be held. Bought from a private breeder.
