My clever brother is responsible for this design. First we removed the left arm of the tractor and both wheels. We placed the main coop on pavers. We prepped the ground by digging a bit down, the put river rocks down for drainage. Then pavers, then the coop. Between coop and run area, more rocks, and then landscaping edging between the coop and the new run.
We dug down just over 1 foot all the way around the front of the frame, and buried 1 ft of hardware cloth. That was HARD! Outlined with pavers, more river rocks, then he put in the frame.

***I'm calling them pavers which is not what they are. They are cement blocks, but the little top sections. Basically the top of a cement block. Sorry for the 'girl' description, I'm out of my realm of expertise here.
