My Flock is freerange
My husband with two of our dogs. The black dog is a former fighting dog and the red dog is a kill shelter rescue. Both are great with our birds and are their protectors. We began reconditioning them to be with our flock when we got our first chick. We used positive reinforcement to teach them appropriate behavior around the birds and now they protect them against predators that would harm them. Notice the teenage birds at the watering container and the dogs are content to simply be with their human.
