My grandfather's homemade dryer! They lived in this house since, I think, 1938! I've lived here now for over 10 years & don't know how they took care of this much land so well....? Either my disabilities r holding me back (fibromyalgia, chronic pain, migraines, TMJ, bulging discs, arthritis, Psoariasis, etc!), or I wasn't instilled with a good work ethic, or I just suck!! But I'm doin' what I can! We have 4 apple trees, 1 pear tree, 1 plum tree (that's pretty much unedible), 1 grapevine & 1 fig tree. Gonna try to dry some, c what happens... : ))
This is what happens after yellow jackets build a huge paper nest in ur dryer! They ate threw the metal screen on 3 trays!!! HUGE! Got stung & bit on my head 3 times by the same bee! OUCH! Shoulda took pictures.... Oh well.
Fruit, nut & etc dryer! Homemade, very cool! My grandpa made it with electric fence parts! Ingenious!
