My baby comes to say hi. Every time I open the cage, she jumps up onto the waterer and then up onto my arm as soon as I put it in for any reason. She just wants to be help stroked and talked with. My dog is jealous... I'm wondering why I need a dog!

Other end with two 250W lamps. These are turned on at about 11am and off around 8 pm.
Notice the roost made of PVC and 2x4 blocks. they like it but have trouble with it. I am going to change it to all 2x4's. The coop floor is a sheet of plastic with newspaper sheets which they seem to enjoy shredding morning and night. The bottom 10" or so is covered with "house wrap" or any other solid material. We had a chick who got stuck trying to climb through the chicken wire walls.
My overnight heat source and floor level thermometer. I have a ceiling fan which is on 24/7 to eliminate hot spots or cold spots. You can see the cricket farm in the background, but we have chosen to not pursue them as they take too much effort for too little return nutritionally. We pulled up the carpet before installing the chicken coop in this room.
