My new Cochin's egg. I purchased her and another (6 in all) from fellow member of BYC "humphreyfarms" on 6/13/13. 2 were Cochins one we named Carrie a Splash Cochin(she called her Puff) and the other was Maggie Mae a blue Cochin(Steele Magnolia). Sue's paperwork stated that they were born 5/18/12. It wasn't til 7/27/13 that Carrie laid her first egg. And this was the weight of it. Such a little egg from such a Big Fluffy Girl!
This is one from a RIR. They a quite smaller than the cochins! And they laid me an egg each every day until their death. They are very aggressive but good layers.
