Goldie, my Buff Orpington seems to be at the bottom of the pecking order but every so often she gets brave or hungry enough to assert herself into the fray with the bigger "chicks". They are about 4 to five months old here.
Red and Ruby my Silver Cuckoo Maran don't hang much side by side so I was a bit surprised when Ruby came up for a peck at the cuke.
Goldie waits for her turn to get a peck or two at the cucumber.

Every so often I take a cucumber and split into two halves, although that can be a bit challenging at times if I want to keep from being pecked.
Red or Rhonda seems to be the top of the pecking order and by far the most curious. I think she may be a Heritage Rhode Island Red.
