What benefits does this tea provide? Have you found all chickens to readily drink it? I've heard of the ACV, garlic clove, & water drink for general health. I'm new to this, so sorry for all the questions!
My rooster prefers it to clear water. It is a huge immunity booster and keeps them from getting sick. I also give them acv water and clear water they usally have all three free choice but if they seem under the weather I will take away the plain water. I also make them chamomile tea and sometimes blend it with a little lavendar and/or mint. But they always have oregano tea. I order it in bulk. The last two bags I ordered from amazon and rejected them because they were off so I picked some up at Natural Grocers from their bulk section which was very cheep . The problem that I've found with buying herbs from grocery stores bulk packaged is that they put the expire date on the package based on when they package it not on when it was harvested and sometimes it's been around for a while. Oregano should smell pretty potent when you purchase it. And when you use herbs for medicinal purposes potency/freshnes is key. It has a long shelf life - like a year. It makes a golden colored tea. The other important thing to know for chicken health is that they need to be allowed to forage.
