Peeta. I loved her so much. Unfortunately, she passed away the night after I took this picture. It broke my heart. I still don't understand what happened because she didn't seem sick. I still separated the bunch based on size and temperment. One of my Barred Plymouth Rock's a little aggressive at times and I couldn't watch them 24/7. Boo,...tear. :( I read a book that free-range chickens sometimes meet there end with predators and mentioned that if one can't handle the death of one of their chickens, perhaps free-ranging isn't for them. I'm that person, but I still want to try and protect them. I bought an air pistol for predators, is that overkill?
