This was an Australorp hen that we had to get rid of. It took over the job of a rooster and began 'crowing' (or at least attempting to crow every morning)

The actual chicken coop sits up in supports and allows for a dry area under it even in the wettest weather
Our coop wire runs about 1 foot out in a trench that we dug all the way around and then the wire was covered with stones to prevent any animal from digging under the coop and run
