Pretty chicken ladder!
Here's the roost and droppings board installed. They are completely stable and easily removed for cleaning. The droppings board still needed time weighted under the bricks to take out the bow. I attached a small 2x4 scrap to each end of a 4x1x1 piece of plywood to make tabs that fit into the preexisting shelves.
This little playhouse has these shelves on either side that fit a 2x4 perfectly. A 4' board needs no permanent securing whatsoever. That means a removable roost and droppings board hassle free!

Pretty chicken ladder!
The chicken ladder base was stained with Benjamin Moore Arborcoat semi-solid stain in Spellbound. I applied and wiped with a rag to give it just a kiss of color.
