Storage area holds food, scratch and other necessaries. Had this shelf that I found at a garage sale for $5. Gave it a couple of coats of black paint and it works perfectly in here!
We divided the area off with chicken wire and a screen door.

We put hinges on the top of the nesting boxes just in case I need to lift it for cleaning or to get out a chicken who is having an attitude.
