Spring 2014. Pip was the first to hatch from the clutch that was brooded by our dearly departed Butterscotch. Being newbies & unprepared for the "accident", we improvised & put her clutch in a canning kettle with a heat lamp, a thermometer & hygrometer & amazingly enough we hatched two chicks:) Not nearly what we had originally expected, but all things considered, I'd say it was a miracle we hatched any at all.
