A tiny Cornish Rock chick wanted to be held all the time so I gave in and made Stella a pet chicken. My husband informed me Stella isn't a female so the name was changed to Stan. Stan likes to cuddle with his head under my neck, perch on my shoulder and sleeps in my hand. He had both being a Cornish Rock and being a male against him but his persistence payed off and he will live a long life on a friends farm.
New coop. The color is just base paint my kids picked out used to cover the OBS boards from moisture. Next caulking all the joints, nooks and cranny's before the semi gloss finish. Cutting ventilation all around the top then wire screen and vent covers, couple on the bottom. The floor will have a pull out drop pan under the roost and nest box with portal access outside. So much still to do.
