the brooder has a 1/4 in. wire floor at the bottom with a pull out tray for cleaning. Not sure about the wire floor because the poop still sticks to the wire. but i read it was not good for the chicks feet to be in the mess. BUT i see alot of brooder on byc with solid floors and shaving, so i really dont know.
