Our son, Matthew, learning to enjoy the chickens. They are about 8 weeks or so here.
* Our 2nd grader, Lydia, is discovering chickens can be friendly and demanding. Lydia had coaxed her up with a grape and the hen is asking for more.
* From the right side, which has a removable cover with vent. It really helps during our hot summers.
* The day they moved in.
* An in progress photo of coop, Design borrowed from the backyard chicken gallery. We changed a couple of things. The entire front bottom is removable and so is the upper right side for extra ventilation. They aren't seen in this photo. We added primer as we went to protect the wood from humidity. I still have to paint the entire thing. It was built over a few days with the help of Mary's dad.

* A few days after I brought them home to Mary, which was on 13 Feb 2013. No, not a Valentine's Day gift....I am dumb, not crazy. LOL
